Starting and Stopping OBI:
1.OBI Runs within Oracle Weblogic Server and it must strated before OBI Components can be started and maintained.
2.To make changes to server configuration settings,OBI Presentation Catalog,the rpd and other settings,you must restart
the appropriate OBI Components before those changes can take effect.
3.When we stop OBI,end users are logged out and when ready,the system prompts you to login in again,ensuring session state
consistency.
Starting the OBI System:
1.To start OBI system: Start Admin server,Managed Servers and system components.
2.System does not include a managed server if the simple install type was selected during installation.
3.If computer that hosts the admin server is not running or has been rebooted,then we must ensure that the computer is running and you can
must start the OBI system.
RPD file must be closed,so that it does not hold the write and read lock.
Repository database must be running and network connection must be available.

1.To start OBI system on windows platforms:
1.Programs - >Oracle Business Intelligence->Start BI Services.
2.For a simple install type,this command starts the admin serve and obi systems and opmn components.
3.For Enterprise or Software Only Install Type- Command starts the Admin server system and OPMN components,managed server and node manager.
4.Command does not support horizontally or vertically scaled out oracle weblogic servers,but does not work on the first computer in the cluster.
5.Command prompts for your credentials at first login,then stores the credentials in the boot.properties file of Oracle Weblogic Server for future use.
